Ernesto Lara Jr aka “Big Ern” has been in the entertainment industry since 2000. He began his journey in music as a substitute karaoke host at a Washington State venue. He immediately fell in love with creating a fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Over the next 10 years he continued to work a primary job and host karaoke/DJ. He then transitioned to only DJing and hosting karaoke as a career. Today, he specializes in DJing weddings, corporate events, bars, private & public events, charities, fundraisers, and school events for all occasions. Spreading joy and happiness is his passion.
Education and Credentials
• Ernesto is a certified emcee through the Marbecca Method. This is a crucial investment training workshop to have as a professional emcee entertaining guests at all events.
• He also has a PHDJ certification through a Joe Bunn and Mike Walter’s workshop for djs and emcees.
• Ernesto’s DJ training over the years has been influenced by DJ Hapa, Digital Dave, DJ Drew Pierce, DJ Buck Rodgers and DJ Angelo workshops.
• The DJ business has no regulations when it comes to education so be sure to ask what types of certifications they have. This will show what level of commitment they invest in themselves to be a true professional entertainer for your events.

Ernesto is continually working on improving the dj business trade within his community by setting higher standards and bringing new innovative features and entertainment for all his events. He continues to attend workshops with well renowned DJ/MC entertainers around the world. His experience has him traveling currently all across the west coast of the United States entertaining events. He plans to expand his coverage of destination events across the nation. Ernesto Lara Jr currently resides in Yakima, Washington.
